About Us

History

In August 2016, Caprice Jones had a vision while on his way to work at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. The vision spoke to him about the importance of nonprofit organizations and the need to support each other. When he shared his vision with the pastor, he was encouraged to pursue it. Caprice took the first step by creating a 501c3 nonprofit and started reaching out to people to help with the mission of the newly formed Fountain of Youth.

Several people were integral in bringing Caprice’s initial dream into reality. Chad Leach and Rick Dickinson helped Caprice understand the intricacies of running a nonprofit agency to the extent that he could focus on running the nonprofit full-time while hiring staff.

Today, The Fountain Of Youth Program provides several programs throughout the Dubuque community and the State of Iowa, and we have a partnership with Real Talk in Vietnam. Our focus is to help change the mindset of those struggling with generational poverty, one person at a time.
